Rotary Electrical Connectors (Mercury)
Rotary Electrical Connectors operate on a superior principle. They offer an extremely low resistance electrical connection because the electrical conduction path is a liquid metal that is molecularly bonded to the contacts.
NOTICE:
*Important Information for customers in Canada* The Mercotac rotating electrical connectors shown below contain a small amount of mercury. Effective November 8, 2015 Canada put in place regulations restricting the import and manufacture of products containing mercury. See more information on these regulations here. However, there is an exemption in place that allows for the replacement of Mercotac parts that were in service prior to Nov 8, 2015. Is your requirement for replacement of existing parts in service prior to Nov 8, 2015?
If yes, we will quote you the requested Mercotac parts above right away.
If no, and your requirement is for a new application and you require a non-mercury slip ring please see the models we offer here. Please advise if one of the non-mercury slip ring models meets your requirements and which part number to quote you. If you require assistance figuring out a new slip ring for your application then please confirm the following information:
-
Number of conductors required
-
The voltage and current on each conductor (or signal)
-
The maximum RPM
-
The temperature range where the slip ring will be operating
-
The IP rating required for the slip ring – used indoors or outside?
