Current Switch Questions we will ask you to make sure you get the right product for your application:

Re: The current in the wire we are sensing

1. *AC or DC Current?

2. *Min/Max Current range in Amps?

3. At what Voltage?

4. *Outside diameter of the wire? (to make sure it fits through switch)

5. *Solid core or Split Core style? (solid requires access to end of wire)

6. What is the ambient temperature range where switch will be installed?

Re: The output required from the switch

1. *Switching AC or DC on output relay contacts?

2. *Max Current being switched through relay output contacts?

3. *Voltage being switched through relay output contacts?

4. *Normally Open or Normally Closed relay contact?

   a) N.O. relay contact – Output is open if no current or current flow below set-point
   b) N.C. relay contact –Output is closed if no current or current flow below set-point

5. Setpoint adjustment type? Fixed, Factory set, Field Adjustable

6. Require indication?

7. Require transmitter output too?

Re: Power required to operate the switch

1. *Power for current switch?
   a) Self-powered? (gets power from wire being measured)
   b) AC Powered? (typically 120 VAC or 24VAC)
   c) DC Powered? (typically 24 VDC)

Re: Approvals required

1. Do you require UL or CSA approval?
