Series 8000 Compact Pressure Switches

Barksdale Series 8000 compact pressure switches use a modular design for stationary and mobile hydraulic applications. Choose diaphragm sensing for lower pressures or piston sensing for higher pressures, with a manifold connection or threaded process adapter and an adjustable SPDT microswitch.

• The current September 2025 datasheet lists ranges A (diaphragm) and D, E, F (piston), with increasing setpoints from 8.7 to 8700 psi.
• Typical repeatability: ±2% for diaphragm models; ±1% for piston models.
• 300-series stainless steel fitting, die-cast aluminum housing and Buna-N or FKM seals.
• Silver SPDT contacts: 3 A at 250 VAC, 5 A at 125 VAC or 3 A at 30 VDC.
• DIN 43650A plug or 1/2-inch NPT male conduit with leads; listed connectors meet NEMA 4.
• Diaphragm ambient: -4 to 167°F (-20 to 75°C); piston ambient: -40 to 167°F (-40 to 75°C).
• Optional cULus or intrinsically safe EXI construction; these options cannot be combined.
• Surge protection is available only for piston ranges D, E and F, and recommended for water or pressures above 3000 psi.

Use the current datasheet for ordering ranges and pressure limits; the older operating manual also includes legacy ranges B and C. Maximum operating pressure and proof pressure are separate limits. EXI models require an approved intrinsically safe circuit and switch amplifier as described in the operating instructions.
