The Series III-L combines a heavy-duty Shear-Seal main valve with an integrated air or hydraulic actuator and manual override. It supports two- or three-position control for demanding drilling and workover applications. Available body materials and options depend on configuration.

Up to 3,000 or 5,000 psi (206/345 bar) for the 1 in valve, depending on configuration.

Service:

Hydraulic oil or water-based media when the stainless-steel body option is used; confirm compatibility with selected materials.

Range:

Flow coefficient Cv 9.2; capacity 75 GPM at 60 ft/s (approx.).

Proof Pressure | Burst Pressure:

Proof: 1.5x working pressure except return port. Burst: 2x working pressure except return port (3,000 psi / 206 bar at return).

Options:

Hydraulic working pressure up to 3,000 or 5,000 psi (206/345 bar), model-dependent. Integrated air/hydraulic pilot; air 80-120 psi and hydraulic 200-1,000 psi.

Temperature Range:

-30 to +185°F (-34.4 to +85°C), main valve and pilot actuator.

Piping Connections:

Main valve: 1 in NPT standard; optional SAE 16 (SAE J1926). Pilot actuator: two 1/4-18 NPT ports.

Overpressure, Burst, Vacuum Service:

Return-port back pressure: 250 psi (17.2 bar) maximum. Actuator should shift at 1/2 second or slower for a 90° throw.

Wetted Materials:

Body: phosphate-coated carbon steel or stainless option; shaft: stainless steel; rotor/seals: 400-series stainless; Buna-N O-rings (Viton, neoprene or EPR options).
