The Barksdale BFS-10-N-EXI extends the BFS-10-N variable-area flow-switch family to intrinsically safe hazardous-area applications. The non-indicating, spring-loaded design provides adjustable flow switching in any mounting position.

Select the exact connection, wetted material and switching range for the application. Hazardous-area suitability depends on the certified configuration, temperature class, nameplate and associated intrinsically safe circuit.

The current operating instructions identify Ex ia IIB T6 Ga and Ex ia IIIC T100 °C Da protection with conditions of use. Only connect through a suitable certified intrinsically safe switch amplifier. Follow the permitted electrical parameters, installation requirements and temperature limits in the instructions.
