BPS1000 Electronic Pressure Switch

The Barksdale BPS1000 is a compact electronic pressure switch without a display. Its ceramic sensing element and two programmable PNP switching outputs support pressure control in OEM, hydraulic, pneumatic, railway and marine applications. On-site programming uses BOWI software and a programming adapter; confirm the required programming equipment with Mod-Tronic.

• Six gauge-pressure ranges: 0–10, 0–50, 0–100, 0–160, 0–200 or 0–400 bar.
• Switch point accuracy: ±0.5% full scale, including temperature error, repeatability and hysteresis.
• Two PNP outputs; normally open/closed, standard/window and diagnostic functions are programmable.
• Maximum output load: 500 mA per output; switching frequency up to 100 Hz.
• Switch point and hysteresis adjustment from 0 to 125% of full scale; delays adjustable from 0 to 50 seconds.
• Stainless steel wetted components, ceramic sensor and FKM; stainless steel electronics housing.
• G1/4 B male manometer connection or M12 x 1.5 male process connection; M12 four-pin electrical connector.
• IP68 with the appropriate mating connector.
• 8–33.6 VDC supply; overpressure 1.5 times full scale and burst pressure 3 times full scale.
• Developed in accordance with EN50155, with enhanced EMC performance subject to proper grounding.

The configurator follows the current order code: BPS1, output code 1 for two switch points, selected process connection, seal code X, electrical code M and pressure range. Other ranges require factory confirmation. The current datasheet lists medium temperature -40 to 85°C and electronics -40 to 80°C; follow the supplied unit instructions for its operating limits.
