THR and THL temperature switches provide adjustable mechanical temperature control in a corrosion-resistant NEMA 4X enclosure. The THR uses a remote bulb with a 10 ft capillary for line sensing; the THL senses local ambient temperature.

Both standard models use SPDT snap-action contacts rated 22 A at 125/250/480 VAC. Their silicone oil-filled, stainless steel sensing systems suit heat tracing, HVAC and industrial process applications. Select the model for its specific adjustment and media temperature limits.

Selection and ordering

The table lists the two standard complete part numbers. THR adjustment is 25 to 325°F (-4 to 163°C); THL adjustment is 15 to 140°F (-9 to 60°C). The approximate differential is 10°F (5.6°C).

The catalogue gives nominal factory settings of 125°F ±5°F on falling temperature for THR and 40°F ±4°F on falling temperature for THL. These factory settings do not replace the adjustable ranges.
